Book Subscription Boxes have come to the Children's Department! Get a kit of books, activities and goodies tailored to your family's ages and the month's theme! August's theme is Nighttime!

  • One adult will register on behalf of the children/family.
  • After the adult has registered, a Google form will be emailed to them.
    • On this form, the adult will list the names and ages of the children in the family that will be participating.
  • Each month the box will have a new theme. The theme for August is NIGHTTIME.
  • The box will have about 3 books in it (give or take based on the number of children per family).
  • The box will also contain an activity to do as a family, promoting togetherness.
  • It will also have surprise goodies tailored to the book box’s theme!

Registration for children's programs closes 12 hours before the program. 

 

Programming Policy: Please note - if you register and are unable to pick up your box, please call the library to cancel or cancel your registration online. This allows patrons from the wait list to be added. Repeated no shows may not be allowed to register for programs. For full policy details, please visit our website. 

Age-Appropriate Programming Policy: Programs are planned for specific age groups. Age groups are listed with the program description. Adult programs are for patrons age 18 and older. For full policy details, please visit our website.

About the branch

Shorewood-Troy Public Library is located in the Brookforest neighborhood just northeast of the Route 52/Jefferson St. and Brookshore Dr. intersection.

Since its creation in 1975, the library strives to:

-Support lifelong learning for personal development and discovery
-Provide free and easy access to print and digital  materials and resources, along with equipment, facilities for public use and friendly knowledgeable staff
-Build community in a warm and welcoming space
-Promote the enjoyment of reading by offering a wide variety of materials, both recent and classic
