Give your brain a boost in this fun and engaging brain health program designed for adults ages 60 and older. Wits Workout encourages socialization while participants enjoy a variety of interactive cognitive activities, including reading exercises, recall games, word puzzles, and more.
Each session features a new theme to explore, helping participants stay mentally active while connecting with others in a welcoming and supportive environment. Developed by the University of Illinois Extension, Wits Workout combines brain-stimulating activities with opportunities for conversation, laughter, and community. Sponsored by Catholic Charities of Joliet.

Shorewood-Troy Library
Shorewood-Troy Public Library is located in the Brookforest neighborhood just northeast of the Route 52/Jefferson St. and Brookshore Dr. intersection.
Since its creation in 1975, the library strives to:
-Support lifelong learning for personal development and discovery
-Provide free and easy access to print and digital materials and resources, along with equipment, facilities for public use and friendly knowledgeable staff
-Build community in a warm and welcoming space
-Promote the enjoyment of reading by offering a wide variety of materials, both recent and classic
